RYA VHF Marine Radio (SRC)

The Short Range Certificate is the qualification required, by law, if you operate a VHF radio fitted with Digital Selective Calling (DSC) on any British vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio.

The VHF Operator’s Course is taught and examined using real radios with the transmission suppressed. The exam takes the form of a multiple-choice paper and practical radio scenarios. Our RYA VHF Marine Radio (SRC) Course prices start from £85.00 per person (not including RYA admin fee of £60. This is paid direct to the RYA).
